Since our founding in 2000 we have built up departments, created structures, established international partnerships and gone public. Much has changed since then - but our identity has remained the same. The characteristics which form our company and guarantee our success are also essential values which we have created, keep alive and adhere to.
Dynamism
Taking part in the creation of medical progress means facing new challenges every day. Thus PAION's working environment is marked by extraordinary energy in both our internal and our external dealings. To channel this dynamism to create effective change is a challenge we meet proactively. We hold "create the future workshops" in which all employees take part and contribute. Our management holds regular strategy meetings to analyse structures, processes and collaborations and align them with changing realities. We guide our organisational development with a view to the future.
Innovation
It is our vision to develop new therapeutic approaches for medical indications with a significant unmet need and to pioneer their application in collaboration with our partners. This requires us to permanently demonstrate our innovation ability, create new ideas and face new tasks. Our responsibility as an employer is to support our employees in solving challenges in a professional manner and with the confidence of doing the right thing.
Credibility
Being credible means for us communicating honestly and being open about our actions and decisions. In staff meetings and press releases we communicate regularly our strategies and objectives as well as progress and developments. Furthermore, it is necessary that all parties involved are convinced of one other's mutual serious commitment. This also means being open about mistakes and risks, and at the same time proposing solutions. People recognise and respect this attitude; it is our understanding of trustful partnership.
Competence

To us, being competent means not only striving for the highest goals, but also achieving them - and in doing so earning the trust and support of investors, renowned partners and recognised experts. In order to continue to convince by true professionalism, we feel it necessary as an employer to create the right environment to enable our staff to gain up-to-the-minute knowledge and to expand their skills continuously. We are proud to experience every day that our management and employees are convincing in their personal and professional competence. Otherwise we could not have achieved so much.
Partnership
Where people come together, various interests and points of view meet. Living a spirit of partnership means respecting those differences and finding solutions that make sense and are profitable for all. As an employer, we attach great value to creating space for both corporate demands and the personal needs of our employees. We believe in give and take on both sides. However oriented we are toward success, it is always the human touch that determines our actions.
